Fuel cell division successfully completed national fuel cell prototype evaluation

In order to fully mobilize the innovation and development of all walks of life, accelerate the development of fuel cell technology and product development, and promote the application of fuel cell in the field of military equipment, the national fuel cell prototype test and evaluation work sponsored by the equipment development department of the Central Military Commission and undertaken by China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry 712 Research Institute has been successfully held in Wuhan recently. This work attracted nearly 50 fuel cell manufacturers in China, and it is a big competition in the field of domestic fuel cell.

On June 30, 2018, the research and ordering Bureau of the equipment development department of the Military Commission publicly collected the military application solutions for fuel cell. The fuel cell division seized the historical opportunity, on the one hand, carefully studied the comparison program, implemented the test requirements, and actively prepared the assembly work of the fuel cell prototype. After more than 2 months of careful preparation, the fuel cell division participated in the evaluation with two products.

From August 28 to 29, 2018, 811 fuel cell divisions independently developed two products, including 30kW vehicle fuel cell power system using the second generation metal bipolar plate technology and 5kW fuel cell backup power supply, participated in the two-day test. The test work is progressing smoothly, the performance of our two products is stable, the output meets the requirements of the indicators, successfully completed the test tasks, and obtained the praise of the evaluation unit.

The excellent performance of the products has impressed the host and the evaluation unit, laying a good foundation for our fuel cell products to enter the military application field. At the same time, it also accumulated confidence for the transformation and development of the market-oriented industrialization of fuel cell in our institute.
